“Alati” means salt in Greek — the essential ingredient that brings out the best in every dish. Just like salt, we believe in keeping things simple, honest, and full of flavor.

Our journey began in 2020, with one goal in mind: to bring the vibrant taste of Greek street food to the heart of Schwerin. After months of planning, dreaming, and designing every detail with love and care, we proudly opened our bistro in the lively Schweriner Höfe — a place full of life, community, and now, the smells and tastes of Greece.

Good things come from addition: more veggies, more flavors, and a more sustainable choice.

Half vegetables, you say? When you pair healthy and delicious, what more could you need?

We only ever use humanely-raised chicken and grass-fed, grass-finished beef. Why would you settle for less?

At Alati, we’re more than just a place to eat. We’re a corner of Greece, right here in Germany. From our juicy souvlaki, gyros, and pita wraps to our homemade tzatziki, handmade dips, and crispy fries, everything we serve is inspired by the food we grew up with — bold, fresh, and made with love.
